Savvy Veg Advice for Vegetarian Children, Parents

Being a Vegetarian Parent Seems To Double the Worry

Most parents want their children to have a healthy diet. That apparently goes double for vegetarian parents and vegetarian children. Sometimes one is vegetarian and the other not - that makes life interesting! Add allergies into the mix, and you have some very anxious parents.

Like most children, vegetarian children have their own agenda! Somehow, for the most part, they grow up just fine, in spite of not having eaten just the right thing all the time. But their parents still end up with grey hair! Having raised three children, I understand what it's like to worry about your child's health and nutrition.

Savvy Vegetarian gets a lot of advice letters, these days! I read them all, and answer as many as I can (about 30%), as quickly as I can. I focus on answering the ones that seem most pressing, that I haven't answered before, and that I'm qualified to answer. My daughter Sarah is now answering advice letters too, so that means you're twice as likely to get an answer. It still might take us a while to respond.

If you want an answer now, you can learn a lot by reading the letters listed below. Or download any of the Free Savvy Vegetarian Reports. Or cruise the articles and resources. There's a lot of veggie info on Savvy Vegetarian. If you don't find what you need, please write to us. We're always glad to hear from you!

All the best, Judy Kingsbury, Savvy Vegetarian
